2. Products, Custom Orders & CAD Design Process

  • Product Representation: We make every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors, dimensions, metal purities, and gemstone attributes of our products. However, due to monitor variations and the handmade nature of fine jewelry, slight variations may occur.

  • Custom & Bespoke Commissions:

    • Custom orders involve collaborative design, CAD renders, 3D models, and client approvals prior to production.

    • Client Approval: Once a CAD design, metal selection, and gemstone choice are formally approved by you, production begins. Any requested changes after CAD approval may incur additional labor, material, or design fees.

    • Non-Refundable Nature: Custom-made, bespoke, and personalized engraved pieces are non-refundable and non-returnable once produced, except in the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect under our [Return, Refund & Warranty Policy].

  • Stock & Pricing: All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). We reserve the right to modify prices, discontinue products, or adjust production lead times at any time without prior notice.

3. Payment Processing & Security

  • Payment Gateways: Payments for purchases and custom deposits on our Site are processed securely via Yoco or other integrated Shopify payment mechanisms.

  • Payment Terms: Orders and custom production will not commence or be dispatched until full payment or the agreed deposit/milestone payment has been cleared by our payment gateway.

  • Billing Accuracy: You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all orders placed at our store.

4. Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss

  • Geographic Scope: We currently sell and deliver exclusively within South Africa.

  • Courier & Transit Insurance: All outgoing parcels shipped via our appointed courier partners are covered by our 100% Transit Insurance Guarantee. Risk of loss or damage transfers to you once the parcel is delivered to the delivery address provided in your order.

  • Delivery Timelines: Dispatch times for standard in-stock collection items and custom bespoke pieces vary. Estimated lead times provided during custom consultations are quotes, not strict guarantees, as production can occasionally be influenced by hallmarking, gemstone sourcing, or technical bench casting requirements.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content on this Site—including but not limited to CAD designs, 3D renderings, product concepts, photography, graphics, logos, text, and overall branding—is the exclusive intellectual property of The Urban Jeweler Co. and is protected under South African and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

  • You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of our designs, renders, or content without express written consent from us.

6. Warranty & Limitation of Liability

  • Warranty Coverage: All products sold are subject to our [Return, Refund & Warranty Policy] (14-Day Manufacturing Warranty for standard items; 30-Day Extended Structural Warranty for custom commissions).

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008), The Urban Jeweler Co., its owners, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Site or any products purchased through the Services.
